To the Voters of Culpeper, Madison, and Orange:

As Virginia celebrates the 400 anniversary of the founding of Jamestown, I am reminded of the honor it is to serve you.  In my second term, I have seen our Capitol restored and been a part of continued policy progress in the Commonwealth.

It is humbling to once more ask you for the privilege of continued service in the Virginia House of Delegates.

It is no accident that for two years in a row, Virginia has been ranked the best state in the nation for business.  We can also take pride in national ratings that show our students have the best opportunity for success of any state in the nation.

Opportunity is what brought entrepreneurial and brave settlers to Jamestown and innovation continues to improve lives today.
The 2007 General Assembly brought the passage of comprehensive transportation legislation that includes significant new funding, improved coordination of land use planning and transportation planning, and increased accountability for government transportation operations.

In 2008, our work will continue on this topic and others including healthcare and mental health, illegal immigration, and the environment.  We will also be tasked with crafting a new budget in a more challenging economic environment.
With two terms of experience behind me and full recognition of the challenges and opportunities before us, I respectfully ask for your vote on November 6.

Thank you for your support.  I look forward to continuing to serve you responsibly and effectively.
